cyborg ideas The tech being integrated beneath the skin atop the muscles and sinew looks so sick! I prefer it when cyborgs maintain the tech imitating biology over the big clunky mechanical bits.

the skin has actually likely been replaced with the plates. i'm not sure people are smart enough to do something so invasive without severe side-effects. recipients of this procedure will have some increased abilities, but also have to take anti-rejection drugs and have constant maintenance for the rest of their (likely shortened) lives.
which plays into some elements of the comic story ;)
